Respecting the home’s inherent character, the renovation seamlessly blends heritage detailing with contemporary living, delivering a distinctive Huka Lodge–inspired aesthetic.
A generous rear extension and new upper-level master retreat introduce expansive, light-filled living spaces, vaulted timber ceilings and strong connections to outdoor entertaining. Original front rooms are carefully preserved, offering intimate, character-rich spaces that balance the home’s more open, relaxed living zones.

JUDGES COMMENTS - ADNZ DESIGN AWARDS
Judges said the considerable renovation had not only been carried out in a sympathetic way, it had also added further to the overall aesthetic. Careful site and floor planning have produced thoroughly usable areas in what have typically been difficult buildings to address. Exposed interior trusses, traditional wall panelling throughout and kitchen detailing consistent with the style have all been expertly included to give a very successful outcome for the clients.
